The Arizona Corporation Commission is currently reviewing the 2012 Renewable Energy Implementation Plans for Arizona Public Service, Tucson Electric Power, and UNS Electric. There is a lot of concern that the ACC will rule in favor of reducing funding for the state's solar programs. The ACC's decision on what these 2012 plans look like will have a big impact on solar in Arizona for years to come.
APS has 3 proposals in front of the ACC now. Option 1 proposes no incentives for non-residential distributed renewables. The ACC will hear this next week and as early as Monday. If you want to participate in the public comment period on APS' 2012 REST compliance visit www.azcc.gov/Divisions/Administration/commcontac.asp.
