China is gaining speed as a world leader in the development of renewable energy.
China plans to build seven wind power bases with a minimum capacity of 10 gigawatts (gW) each by 2020, in a move to dramatically increase the use of the clean energy. Construction of these bases would require an investment of around 1 trillion yuan ($146.38 billion). In terms of solar, China planed to install total capacity of 20 million kilowatts solar photovoltaic generation by 2020.
However with the rapid expansion of renewable energy generation scale, the renewable integration problem is getting more and more prominent. Statistics indicated that China at least has 1/3 wind power projects in the idle operation condition at present.
Realizes the grid integration is a tendency of China and the world in the development of renewable energy way. Only when we realize the grid integration can we let the electricity which sends out have the benefit, this has significant meaning for making efficiency use of renewable energy and electricity system security.
In this unique juncture moment, Oppland is organizing the next power series event--grid integration of renewable energy 2011, which will be held on March 24th-25th in Beijing. This will be an unrivaled platform to get reliable information and to exchange ideas. We look forward to welcoming you to Beijing!
