October 31 (Saturday) Next Generation Home Course. Get your solar tour day off to a good start as Tucson's officially recognized Next Generation Home Program presents the best unbiased, non-commercial information, advise & ideas from local experts for improving your home, remodeling, building or buying the solar, ecological and homeowner-friendly home you've always wanted - a comprehensive, factual, information-packed class to help you get what you want in a home and greatly reduce your costs of home ownership, with an emphasis on practicality and cost savings.
$10 per person, $5 with Home Tour ticket. Bring a second person with you for $5. Saturday, 8:30 - 10:30 am. Take the seminar and get your home tour tickets at Pima Community College's Campus Center Auditorium (CC 180), 1255 N. Stone Ave., just north of Speedway. Lots of free parking. Just go in the main entrance. Easily accessible from out of town just 1 mile east of I-10 on Speedway Blvd.

October 31 & November 1 (Saturday & Sunday) 14th Annual Tucson Innovative Home Tour & Tucson Solar Tour. Self-guided tour of over 15 exceptional, award-winning and nationally recognized homes and solar applications featuring new advances for better homes and better living, with an emphasis on sustainability and fitting in with the natural environment. Speak with owners, designers and builders, and discover new ways to make your home much better and cost a lot less in this special non-profit, non-commercial, community sharing of the latest advances. Plus, see separate listing for the Next Generation Home Seminar, where you can learn from experts how you can have a home like these too.
Course is Saturday, 8:30 - 10:30 am. Tour is Saturday and Sunday 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. Tickets $10 per person. Bring a second person with you for $5. Homes are different each day. Tickets are good both days and include a tour guide with directions. You choose which homes to visit and go at your own pace. Tickets available starting Saturday, October 24, at locations around Tucson, including some easily accessible early for those coming from out of town.
