Solar in Arizona: What's It Going To Take? [Tempe]

Tuesday 15 March 2011, 05:30pm - 07:30pm
This event, hosted by the Phoenix Green Chamber of Commerce, will address tough questions and present solutions related to the current and future state of the solar industry in Arizona. Why are we losing this industry to other states? What is it going to take to become the nation's solar leader? This topic intersects precisely where business meets policy.

Arizona Corporation Commission's Nancy La Placa will present compelling insight into the perspectives and decision making process behind pursuing renewable energy. She will talk about where Arizona stands and what we can do to support economic diversity and job creation.

Renewable energy entrepreneur Ben Montclair of Capital Review Group will discuss the solar industry, and specifically what has to happen for it to become an economically viable alternative, as well as the broader role of solar in the technology revolution.

Networking, appetizers and refreshments to follow.

  • Phoenix Green Chamber Members: $10
  • Non-Members: $20
